ST PATRICKS DAY – BURTONPORT.St Patrick's day preparations are currently underway in relation to a celebration being held at the community centre in Burtonport on this special day. The committee however require your help to see this through. We desperately need donations of prizes which we can use on the day and as a result members of the committee will be going around to local businesses in the Rosses this week requesting sponsorship in the form of prize/financial donation etc... If you are in a position to donate a prize – some chocolates, flowers, a painting, a bottle of wine, a gift you have received but have no use for…we would be very grateful. Please let us know about the gift donation ASAP by ringing - 0863836546. We are also calling all traditional musicians in the area to consider sharing your talent with the community for a couple of hours on this day.
POP UP GALLERY Artists and makers are invited to take part in a co-operative ‘pop up’ gallery opening in Dungloe at Easter and running for six months. For more information collect a leaflet from the office in the Ionad, phone pat on 07495 62855 (from 8th march) or come along to a meeting at the Ionad on the 14th march at 5pm.
CYCLING CLUB The Sunday cycling club leaves Ionad Teampaill Chróine every Sunday at 1.00p.m Get on your bike and join in the fun. All ages welcome. Helmets must be worn.

The Missionary Sisters of St. Peter Claver will be in the parish on 12/13 March to appeal on behalf of the missions. They will tell us about their work and will be grateful for your support. The Raphoe Diocesan Pioneer Council are again this year, in keeping with the aim of the Association,’The promotion of Sobriety and Temperance’ organising our ‘No Thanks for Lent Campaign’. This is where a person makes a private pledge to abstain from alcohol during Lent and say the prayer on the card in Church.

Building Energy Rating Foundation Course – Ionad Teampall Chróine is seeking expressions of interest from individuals who would like to complete the above course. Participants will have an opportunity to acquire FETAC accreditation. In order for the course to be run in Dungloe, a min of 15 participants will be required.
