Raphoe Diocesan Society: The month of November is a good time to remind you of the Raphoe Diocesan Society. You are encouraged to have your deceased relatives enrolled in the Society and you yourselves are encouraged to become Living Members. Four Masses shall be offered in each parish each year – two Masses for the Living Members and two Masses for the Deceased Members & Benefactors of this Society. The fee for enrolling members is €15 for each member.

A Photographic Exhibition from the Irish Folklore Collection is showing in Ionad Teampaill Chróine until the end of November. Entitled “Through a Swedish Lens” it shows images of early 20th century Irish life. Worth a visit.

Rosses Annual – With the nights closing in and people with more time on their hands. It is proposed to publish a 3rd Rosses annual with proceeds going to a local charity. Anyone interested in gathering or submitting material, editing, seeking advertising, marketing, setting up website e.t.c. are invited to a preliminary meeting in St. Columba’s Community Centre, Burtonport on Wednesday 24th November at 9.00p.m.
