Building Energy Rating Foundation CourseIonad Teampaill Chróine is seeking expressions of interest from individuals who would like to complete the above course
Participants will have an opportunity to acquire Fetac accreditation.
In order for the course to be run in Dungloe a minimum of 15 participants will be required.
There will be no fee for individuals who are in receipt of a social welfare payment.
Course Information
The BER foundation course is designed to give students an overview of building Energy Rating, the DEAP software and the methodology and the Energy Performance of Building Directive and its implementation in Ireland. Topics include building physics, U-value calculations and heating systems.

The course is open to all who are interested but those who are trade or degree qualified in a construction discipline may continue on to the BER Assessor course. The course is also suitable for those for whom it has been along time since last completing assignments /sitting an exam those who would like an introduction into the concepts behind BER before training to become an assessor, and anyone who would like more time working with the material.

Over 50’s In a friendly, relaxed and supportive atmosphere discover the basics of using a computer; how to create professional looking letters, household accounts (spreadsheets) and use the internet. No pressure, no tests or exams.
Internet & EmailWant to know how to email? How to shop online or book flights online? This course will show you how to safely navigate your way safely through the web, learn to use the internet safely, how to create a web mail account and send and receive emails.

BeginnersIf computers are confusing or intimidating, this is the class for you. This course is for those with absolutely no knowledge of computers. We will cover the basics: From turning your computer on and off properly, using the keyboard and mouse to basic applications.

Intermediate This course is designed for those who want to know more than the basics. The course applies on word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet. It is an ideal follow on from our beginners course.

Driver CPCIf you are a professional bus or truck driver you will have to undergo periodic training of one day per year CPC driver training is a compulsory European Union initiative which applies to all professional drivers. Ionad Teampaill Chróine is a registered centre delivering regular CPC courses.

Kidz Fun Art ClassChildren will explore, discover and develop their creativity and imagination. We’ll experiment with art materials such as: paints, pencils, markers, oil pastels etc. With an introduction to basic elements of art. Leave the mess to us and take home a masterpiece.

Children's Fun ComputersThis class aims to help children understand the basics of how computers work and how to use them taught in a child friendly environment.

FORBAIRT NA ROSANN welcomes the news that the Dungloe Sewerage Scheme is to go to tender. After many years of consultation & lobbying this much awaited scheme in the area is finally getting the green light. The local development group hope that the work will commence before the summer.

WIDOWS GROUP has a temporary venue is Cois Locha on the Gweedore road. The meetings remain the same, once a fortnight on Sunday afternoon at 2 pm. New members or visitors are welcome. If anyone would like a programme please ring 95 42077 or 95 51594.

Maghery


Classes; Names are now been taken for the following Classes in Feb’11 - Digital Photography, Creel Making, & Cookery. All classes are open to male and female participants over 18yrs of age and are part funded by the Donegal VEC Adult Community Education Service.

The Members, Committee and parents of the Maghery Band wishes to thank Jack and the Maghery Bowling Club for a very successful fundraising night held in Maghery last weekend. A special thanks to all the bowlers from clubs around Donegal who travelled to Maghery to support us.

A meeting to restart the Maghery Foroige Club will be held at the Centre on Wed Feb 16th @ 7:30pm. All interested parties are asked to attend.

Occupational First Aid and CPR course is nearly full but there are a few places remaining. This will be run over 3 days, 4th, 11th & 18th Mar. This is a certified course and is accredited. Booking essential.
