Church Gate Collection: The parents & Friends of people with intellectual disabilities will be holding a church gate collection on Saturday August 7th & Sunday August 8th. Please support.

Get on your bike – Ionad Teampaill Chróine Sunday 15th August 1pm This month we will have two cycles – a 10Km for all the family and a more strenuous 20 Km for the more experienced cyclist. Fun guaranteed – THIS IS NOT A RACE. These are fun cycles and everybody is encouraged to join in. Helmetsmust be worn. Registration will take place in the morning. Art Exhibition : Paintings by local artists for sale at Ionad Teampall Chróine.

A Country Market will take place every Saturday, from 11.30am – 1.30pm at the oldschool, Cloughwally. There will be fresh farm produce home baking, jams, knitting and much more on offer. For further information please contact 085 1224309.

The Meenacross show committee would like to sincerely thank all who supported us over the weekend. To our exhibitors and spectators who support us year on year and to our sponsors, a special word of thanks. Most importantly a huge thank you to our committee and all those who voluntarily gave up their time over the past year to makethis year the exceptional show that it was. So much was achieved for 2010 and without your help this would not have been possible.

The Bluestack Special Needs Foundation: Are looking for volunteers. We are currently providing Speech Therapy, Bowen Therapy, Art Therapy, Reflexology and a Buddy Programme for individuals with special needs. If you are interested in helping out Tel 074 91 40828.

Table Quiz in Caislean Óir, Annagry, Wednesday 11th August in aid of Dungloe G.A.A. underage teams. Teams of 4 €20. Commencing 10 pm. A good turnout would be appreciated to show support for the Team officials who are putting a big effort at underage level.

Free Childcare Service – Was your child born between 2nd February 2006 and 30th June 2007, if so , they are entitled to free childcare for 3hrs per day 5 days per week under thenew ECCE Scheme. Patrick Sweeny Memorial Cup the Sweeney family, Chapel Rd & New York, wish to thank everyone who supported the game. The two teams, the referee John Murray and John Ward for the use of the pitch. €266 was collected for Dungloe Hospital Fund.
